Starlight

Her healing gifts are given to her by the Earth Mother who goes by many names in many cultures. The Great Mother allows her to draw up energy of the earth and channel it to heal. Starlight also has extensive knowledge of the use of herbs and the making of salves and potions. She has been trained her whole life by her mother as a shaman. She can travel the astral in spirit form and communicate with her ancestors and those that have pass from life and into the spirit relm. Also being giftes with the ability not only to spirit walk, but also to mind walk as well. Starlight can enter a person's mind if they are willing to allow her help to heal or place a block against interferance. She has also been accepted by the elementals as a friend and ally. She can call on the many different forms of earth, air, fire and water in need. (Or sometimes in play....elementals have a sense of humor too you know!)

Starlight's heretage is a mixed one. Her mother is a full blood native american and her father a white man from the future. Her skin is a light, rich reddish-bronze, her hair is raven colored and flows like a river of black silk down past the small of her back. The only thing that may seem out of place are her eyes. Instead of being dark, like her mother's people, she was born with her father's eyes of green-gold. They lend a air of mystery to her, set next to her dark skin. She stands 5'5" and while she is of a slim build she is strong from the life she leads.

Taught also to be a warrior as well as a healer, Starlight is quite an accpmplished knife fighter. She uses two steel bowie knives, both with 7 inch blades. She also excells at the use of the short bow and a horseman's lance. She uses both with ease either on foot or on horseback. Starlight was just about born on horseback and rode almost before she could walk. The well trained horses in the herd that runs loose in their valley are legendary

Star can also call upon her spirit totems. Eagle, Bear and wolf call her sister and will come to her aid. Eagle is her most powerful totem and is the symbol of her house. She wears the feathers gifted to her by the totam, who appears to her in time of need braided into her hair at all times.

Starlight has a 3 year old son named WinterHawk from her ill-fated marriage to Patrick Verris. She is a widow now, Patrick being killed searching for his father by the Tajhi Councel of Warriors. It was because of a power struggle within the councel that caused this. The one who hated Shadron Verris seeing a perfect time to rid himself of both father and son and take control. While Patrick's body was never delivered to Starlight, his bloody effects were...along with the body of his mother Aluinn. Starlight went on with her life, raising her son by herself and becoming very happy with herself and who she was. Untill the fatefull day when her mother brought to her a sapphire........

Inside of that sapphire dwelled a Genie. He was of a very empathic nature and wanted to please Starlight as he saw her great saddness hidden behind a cheerful facade. The magickal Djinn took human form for her, his only wish in the world was to make her happy. As time passed she found herself falling in love with him and she didn't feel right about this. She wanted to see him as he really was and not as something out of her daydreams and imagination. So she asked him to change, to show her his true form. Although he was apprehensive at first (that she would be repulsed by him) he did it anyway, only because he loved her so very much. But, to his surprise and delight his true form only seemed to please her more. They married in the latter part of August and now she looks foreward to a happy life with her sweet, 8 foot tall, blue skinned Djinn by her side
