Shand is a historian as he'll say at the drop of a hat.
he's an odd one, coming and going and seeming oblivious to many changes that might have happened in his absence but fully aware of minor ones. And while he maintains he is only human with little to know magical aptitude, he always seems to be the one with a means of escape from just about any place.
while he is only human, he has been known to have incredibly stamina and speed, an endurance and physical prowess of a military unit and not some pencil pusher or book keeper.
While he will be the first to point out his lack of magical abilities, his items of choice tend to be best described by himself as "Magic, that's all" to which he promptly ignores further speculations.
Shands current selection of items has since grown due to the opening of the demon gates and the increased need for self protection.
while still hesitant to use anything remotely close to deadly force and any creature present, demon or not, he will not allow himself or his partner to succumb to deadly force.
