Set
~Set....The ancient Drow god of opposition named Set is much of the reason modern historians have
linked the Drow with the ancient Egyptians, instead of the normal belief that they are bastardized
sylvans.
Set, with the head of atyphonian beast in classical myth, appears mostly as a tall, dark man, grim
visaged and bespectacled, dressed in black and carrying a wicked little walking stick. His name inspires
fear, though he is terribly cordial when met... it is said, however, that his quick temper can quickly end
someone up at the wrong end of his wrath. Much of his tale can only be learned from the Drow of
Elysium.
Those most loyal receive the Mark of Set, a mystical tattoo which grants its wearer power. Set's brother
Ausar is known as the uneniable wave of history, and it is he who Set primarily opposes. However,
anything which seems destined, expecially foolishly or arrogantly, Set is said to stand against.
Set can be distracted momentarily by word games, and loves to throw quests to amuse himself by mortal
scrambling. His most ardent adherent is named Hannibal Tabu, a truly powerful and evil Drow on
Elysium, and has a foothold in some other realms as well.
