Mystique was sent to Beware by her demon lord father, Apollyon to bring her half-sister, Misdemeanor to him.

Mystique knows about Misdemeanor but Misdemeanor doesn't know about Mystique. Misdemeanor isn't in complete control of her demon powers - Mystique is. However, Mystique has apparently lost interest in her task... and decided to stay in Beware for now.

Her Powers - Her mind has strong defenses that guard and protect her from any kind of mind control or powers of suggestion. Her abilities and powers are not all that complex--a little magic, some healing powers, she’s able to bounce back magic and she has some resistance to any elemental spells or powers. The venom from her bite, though not deadly, leaves her victims paralyzed for three to five minutes. She is also capable of producing substantial electrical currents, which can stun a person upon contact.
