Lucas Shadow

Contained here is an account of Lucas Shadow's History, such as it is, His Abilities, skills, and other Character informations that as you read I would ask that you keep OOC unless they are to come up in character and roll play through the normal progression of the game. In combat Lucas is a "Post4Post" character. Keeping that in mind, the PLAYER holds a dim view of combat posts that hold more then a reasonable number of combative actions in a single post along with diffinitively "closed" combat actions. * ex: Posting that someone draws his blade slashing low along the knee level of someone as they vault up over the nearest table, grabbing a full pitcher of ale along the way, smashing it into the head of an orc walking by while dodging three poison darts with great ease, befor slamming the blade into the back of the origenal target to the victom's obvious suprize.*... shit like that.. so if you post that way don't be suprised if you get ignored or played around.

Some History

Lucas Shadow was born by the Garou known as Spirit Wolf. The situations surrounding the conception and birth are a tale to be told in and of themselves and to long and sorted a tale for this time. In short, Lucas’s birth was made possible by the concerted effort of Noble Elvin magic, the skills of healers, and gifts from Gaia herself and other spirits. Lucas’s Father was King Edain Essendle of the elves of Ethra. It’s from his father that he came by the cobalt blue in his eyes, said to be a trait of the Royal family of Essendle. Strange as it may be to hear, there was an egg of a human woman, Maria was her name, that was used for the conception and not that of Shadow Winds body. More about this is unknown to Lucas, but it is said that the Lady Maria was loved by King Essendle. The egg was placed into the womb of Shadow by strange magic and skill of elves and others and seeded there by the king. Gaia was beseeched to grant this union and her gifts and care made possible the growing and maturing of the baby that would be Lucas Shadow. For all their care and concern, The three conspirators did not know the consequences of their own actions.
Gaia had Her own plans for Lucas.

The Truth of Lucas

A Child of Gaia; He was told that that was what he was, all through His growing up. That is true. He is, but not in the same way that a Garou might be.

A Shape Changer; He is a shape changer, yes. This to is true, but there again, not in the same way as a Garou is.

It is said that we must place our faith in Gaia. It is said that She will, one day, show us the way to restore the physical and the spirit world and lead us to a new golden age.

Between the Weaver and the Wyld there is a great pain and fray, a wall and gulf of division, the Gauntlet. Between the Ever changing patterns and infinite probabilities of the Wyld and the woven patterns and structures that are created by the Weaver, is the Wyrm seeking to subvert and malign the true way of Gaia as it was intended.

It was not always so. In the beginning, before the Wyrm turned mad, There was a time. The Weave and the Wyld and the Wyrm coexisted and danced together freely, and from this dance was born reality. It was not till the Wyrm went insane, it was not till the Gauntlet came into being, that evil raised it’s head and began to corrupt Gaia’s being.

The time of the coexistence was called the Dawn times. And the universe of these dawn times was called by Garou by this name, ”True Gaia”. But those times and that universe are gone. What is to do? What can Gaia do for these times, for this Gaia is plagued by a turned mad Wyrm and faced with the ending of days if things are not set right and balance restored.

Lucas was born of Gaia, with her blessing and power, and it is with him that, perhaps, a new start may begin.

The Mark of the Balenced Child: The mark on Lucas Shadow's chest is a mark given by Gaia herself within the conception of him and it flows through his being. When Lucas is in His (Base form) It can be seen and is as much his name and a designation. He is the first of his kind. The mark is in a scrypt sacred to Gaia and it's meaning is clear to any that know it and see the mark.

Abilities

Shape Change: Lucas has the ability to take on the Natural and supernatural traits of anything He, or anyone He is in mental communication/contact with, can dream up. Once in this form both his spiritual appearance and Physical reality show no deviation from the form chosen. (This ability is how he was seen to be a garou for so long growing up)

In any form taken, Lucas has the same immunities and resistances as Garou as he is similar to them in many ways though different in others.

Ecceptions are The Natural aptitude of his body in any form to adapt to it's environment and become immune to natural extreams of pressure, heat, cold, electrical discharge, radiation, or atmospheric conditions allowing him to exist in any environment. (Note this dose not protect him from magical representations of these situations but will protect him from summoned elementals and magicly summoned natural affects like weather).

An interesting note: If Lucas Shape changes into the form of a wolf, or garou, or human, he will be able to bread with any of these beings as well with corresponding results. This means that if a garou mates with human or wolf, the breeding is legitimate and if garou to garou, a metis is conceived.

He may also disguise himself or any one thing or being touched in the umbera (as the Chimera Gift) at will. The limit to the Shape change in form is roughly as small as a house cat and similar mass/density- to as large as 20 feet tall and several tons in weight with apropriate density values.

Any Natural attacks emulated with this ability are also supernatural and create aggravated damage and the damage is unsoakable if by claw, tooth, spine, or any sort of effect ment to puncture, cut, rake or rip the target.

Gauntlet Gestalt: Lucas exists at any time in both the Umbera and the Physical worlds. In a similar way that Garou are children of both worlds except that for Lucas, it is as if the gauntlet dose not exist and is a part of him all at the same time. He can step into and out of the Umbra without the need of a reflective surface or any effort of will, much like the Silent Strider's Gift (Reach the Umbra). He can stradle the line, so to speak, viewing and coexisting in both worlds without offering up a weak spot in the Gauntlet for outward forces to converge upon seeking to compromise the barrier. He may also create Moon Bridges that are compleatly safe to him and any one touched that can take him and others to any destination instantly.This ability functions similarly to the Theurge gift, "Grasp the Beyond".

Lucas may also naturaly use this ability in an affect similar to the (Child of Gaia) gift "Strike the Air", letting him become unable to attack or be attacked by any opponent, allowing the opponent to exhaust it's self in the attempt.

Scream of Gaia: (Exactly as the Get of Fenris Gift of the same name) Lucas can emit a horrible, ragged scream imbude with all the Rage and the Pain of Gaia. The force of the scream batters foes and knocks them off their feet within a 50 foot radius.

Telepathic Communications: A combined ability similar to (Beast Speech, Mind Speak, and Dream Speak) all in one.

Reshape Object: Lucas can shape once living material(but not undead) into a variety of object/shapes. The Item made will appear to have been made of the material in question. If made into a weapon of some sort, the item will even create aggravated damage for a short time,(say three attacks in post for post combat), befor becoming a normal representation of that item. This is similar to the (Homid gift) of the same name but is a direct manipulation if his ability to reshape reality by changing the Umbral representation of the item. In the most simple of terms, changing the spirit changes the physical form.

Equipment

*Lucas's Belt pouch is a bit larger then average but it is a normal well made belt pouch of his own creation, of Leather and designed with a swirling pressed patterned design pleasing to the eye tooled with carved antler clasps.

The strange fetish blade was found by Lucas in a hiddin place, in a Caern, in the ruins. The Chimera spirit of the caern showed him where it was after his personal Rite of Passage and bade him to take it.

Along the inner well of the seperated blood groove are runes that read....

As an alloy of metioric silver and other minerals, it is not the pure silver of the renouned "Klaive" of the Garou, but it is of similar design as if the intent were similar. The blade it's self is as long as a grown man's arm from fingertips to elbow with the handle being longer onto that, bearing the full tang of the blade. The unguarded handle fittings and pummel are of a bronze colored alloy with the device of the sicklemoon as the pummel and a large cobalt moonstone set in the handle.The blade maintanes an edge indefinantly and resists bending or shattering unlike any normal silver or metal so far.

Damage from this blade may not be soaked or infact healed by rite or magic unless that magic or effect is contrived through natural means.(a naturaly mystical healing plant or spring would do as would a troll's regeneration, but not spells magical healing or potions of supernatural mixxitives).

When struck apon any hard surface the dual tines of the blade vibrate and sing with a chime akin to the sound of a "Harmony Flute" and "Sanctuary Chimes" in one. Both calming those listening within eyesight and Making it impossable for spirits to materialize within 100' of the blade until the blade again leaves the area.
