The Maverick Family

They are a family of mindwalkers and telekenetics. Most of them having served in the Peace Keepers. Richard Maverick made the family crest of a wolf’s head, when his youngest son Jon became a werewolf. Oldest of them all are the twins, David and Steven. Both were high-ranking Peace Keepers who commanded their own units, Wolf Pack and the Diamond Backs respectively. They were the first to come to Beware. Through many marrages, the Maverick family have joined with the Scaleka family, and through them, the Corsella family. They are not a family to be messed with. Offend one, and you offend them all.

David met and married a fellow Peace Keeper when younger, a woman named Dannii Peters. She was killed before his arrival in Beware. For a long time he wanted nothing more than to join her in death. Shortly after arriving in Beware he recruited a healer into Wolf Pack by the name of Sareena "Shadowcat" Scaleka. The two became close and later married. They now have a set of twins themselves, Jason and Jessica Maverick.

Steven is very different from his twin. While David preferred to mix with his fellow officers and men, Steven always preferred solitude. Many considered him to be anti-social but the truth was he didn't want to become close to anyone he may have to later order to their death. He is now coming out of that and is now married Shay Scaleka, cousin to Sareena Maverick, his twin's wife.

Jon is the next oldest of the Mavericks. A former Captain in the Wolf Pack, he was briefly married to an officer of the Diamond Backs, a fellow Captain called Katiraye, with who he also had a set of twins, Dannii and Chris. Jon is a werewolf having been bitten as a child by a werewolf. After Katiraye dissappeared, Jon met up with a fellow werewolf named MoonDancer, who he later married.

Catherine, or Cat to her family and friends, is the youngest of the family. She is two years younger than Jon and, unlike the others, has no powers of telekinesis. She is a healer and has a strong sense of loyalty to her friends and family. Unlike her brothers, she never joined the Peace Keepers and has little skill with weapons. The dagger she always carries is only used as a last resort. She is now married to Andreos Omega, Sareena's son form her first marrage, and they are expecting thier first child.

James is the cousin to the other four. He is a year older than Catherine and was also a Peace Keeper officer but he never really wanted to be in the Peace Keepers. He always dreamed of captaining a Trader ship. He left his wife after he found her in bed with another man. He is now working for the Dancing Gypsy tavern and for a time, was seeing Rapture Heartwarder, untill her assension. He is now engaged Rachelle Ward, who Rapture brought to him after her assension.

Sareena Maverick, also known as Shadowcat, is the wife of David Maverick. She is a healer and a ranger. She met David at the castle and offered to heal his leg, as he was limping badly due to an old injury. He recruited her into the Peace Keepers and the two became close, eventually marrying. She is the mother of Jason David Maverick and Jessica Danielle Maverick..

Shay Maverick is the wife of Steven Maverick. They first met just after Steven came to Beware, they met again recently after Shay's ordeal at the hands of Aramon. Through making bets with one another over who was going to fall in love first, they became friends. Taking shelter from a rain storm during one of their meetings, they found that they had fallen in love with each other. Since then, they have seldom been apart and recently married in a surprise ceremony arranged by James Maverick.

Shannon Kelly Maverick, or MoonDancer as some know her, is the wife of Jon Maverick. A werewolf like Jon, his two children, Chris and Dannielle, both imeadiately liked her and it was them who asked if Jon would be marrying Shannon. Shannon loves the twins as her own, and is teaching them about werewolves, as Jon has little knowledge on the subject. She has recently given birth to a son, Jack.






Kyle Maverick is a member of the family dragged back from the distant future. Out of his depth, his feelings about being in Beware are "If I can live in the past, then maybe I can change the future." He is married to Jilly, another one of Shadowcat's cousins.

Jason and Jessica Maverick are the twin son and daughter of David and Sareena. Both of them powerful telepaths and telekenetics.

Chris and Danielle Maverick are the twin son and daughter of Jon and Katiraye. Both have the power of telepathy and telekinesis like their father. Up until the point where Danielle was careless with a wish, only Chris was a werewolf, that is no longer the case. They are a little older than Jason and Jessica, and are being raised by Jon and Shannon Kelly Maverick, aka MoonDancer

Richard and Lisa Omega are the children of Cat and Andreos Omega. Both of them are named for Cat's parents

Mikaylah"Kaylah" Maverick is the addopted daughter of Kyle Maverick. She was born to Jilly before she met Kyle. Kaylah's father had disappeared before she was born, so when Kyle married Jilly, he also addopted Kaylah both already saw eachother as father and daughter.

Jack Maverick is the son of Jon and Shannon Kelly Maverick. He is the first born of Shannon, and half brother of Chris and Danielle.

Andrei Maverick is the addopted son of Jon and Shannon. He is a Yennork, a werewolf who cannot shift forms, and as such is trapped in his wolf form. Because of this, his pack, one that Jon could not identify from Andrei's scent, adandoned him to die just before Jon found him.

Kristen and Kieran Maverick are the twin girls of Steven and Shay Maverick. They are unique in the family in that they are the first set of same sex twins to be born since David and Steven
