Jon Maverick

Jon Maverick is the youngest of the three Maverick brothers. He was barely two years old when David and Steven were taken by the Administration and so has very few memories of his brothers.
When he was six years old he and a friend were playing near to his home when a werewolf attacked them. His friend was killed in the attack but Jon became a werewolf himself. As he learnt to control the changes he started to use the wolf form to help protect his village until the age of fourteen when his father sent him to Peace Keeper training. Graduating at the age of sixteen he was assigned to a unit based near to his home to protect them during the Tranker War. He saw no action and longed to be with his brothers on the front lines.
After the war was over Jon's father discovered the location of his two eldest sons and set out to inform them of the news of what had happened after they had left, that they now had a sister, Catherine. When he did not return Jon requested a transfer to the Wolf Pack under his brother David's command in Beware and received it. Upon arriving he was met by a dumbfounded David and his wife Shadowcat@bwr. Both extremely pleased to see him.

After just a short time in Beware he befriended and became very close to another officer from the Diamond Backs unit, one Captain Katiraye@soi. During one of their times exploring they entered a place that cut off their telepathic abilities. Quickly leaving the place they admitted that they had feelings for each other.
Shortly afterwards Jon was taken by Lil Mischief@soi and was bonded to her against his will. Only Katiraye's calling in an old favour from when she was the vampire SieCatt was the bond moved to Katiraye. Shortly after that the two married.
Just before Jon's promotion to Captain, Katiraye told him that she was pregnant with twins. Jon was over the moon. When they were later born the proud parents were allowed some time to be together away from their duties in their respective units to look after Chris and Dannii.

Jon is a strong telepath and has powerful telekinetic abilities. Like his brothers he fights with a Katana and is an excellent shot with a crossbow. He can change between his three forms at will but only uses his half human half wolf form as a last resort. Due to him being a werewolf he has fast self-healing powers.

After returning to Beware he found that Katiraye had once more become the vampire SieCatt. The bond between them broken, he became a total wreak until when out at the Harbour Lights tavern one day he ran into an old friend, Moon Dancer, a fellow werewolf. The two have since become very close and are now living together and raising Jon’s children

On the 12 of July, Jon and Shannon married in a surprise ceremony arranged by Jon. What caught them both off guard, was the fact that the rest of the family found out, and decorated the house and provided food, drink and a silly sign for Jon & Shannon's bedroom door. At the time of their wedding Shannon was several months pregnant. Three months later on October 6th, she gave birth to Jack Maverick, meaning that Jon is the first of the family to have three children born to them.
