~ He is known by several names. The Concordiant Dragon, The Great Eternal Wheel, Swallower of Shades, The Ninefold Dragon, and Creator of Dragonkind. ~ His symbol is a multi-colored metallic disk. ~ Io is neutral, for he encompasses all alignments within his aspects. He can (and does) appear as any dragon type, from the smallest pseudodragon to the largest great wyrm. His most common and carefully chosen form is a massive three headed platinum dragon, but for his daughter's sake, he does have a white paladin form to keep himself further hidden from those he does not wish to scare away. ~ He only cares for his 'children', the dragons and their continued existence in the world. In some cases, this means taking the side of the dragons against other races. In other situations, Io may actually help nondragons fight against a dragon who would otherwise jeapordize the species as a whole. ~ He prefers to remain uninvolved in conflicts between dragons, though if such a conflict threatens to escalate, he may either step in, or send his avitar, Ssesh'hetakh, to find out what is going on. ~ His main worshippers are dragons, but his outlook is broad and all-encompassing that he has the fewest shrines of all the dragon gods out there. He is even worshipped by other reptillian races such as kobolds. ~ Even the most devoted cleric of Bahamut, Tiamut, or any other dragon deity pays at least a modicum of homage to him. ~ Io counts no other faiths as his enemies, knowing the value of neutrality throughout. Even those of greatly varying alignment can find common cause under the banner of the Ninefold Dragon. ~ He lives on his #r-dragonha(island), the largest one of the Blood Chain Isles. All dragons live here in peace and all guests of dragons are welcome to visit. ~ He has several forms of attack. His main attack is with tooth and claw. He prefers that over all others. But, he does have breath weapons, yet they drain him when he uses them. His light side on the right has the power of ice breath. The dark side on the left holds fire breath. The neutral head in the center has lightning breath. His scales are like steel and maybe even harder than that. He does hold one true power and that is he can turn anyone into a full blooded dragon. |
