Galdor Singollo

Galdor Singollo is your basic Wood Elf. He was born in the village of Silver Twig, a rather small village in comparison to others with only a hundred Wood Elves living in the massive tree houses that it used to have. His features are rather simple. Emerald green eyes, pointed ears hide under green locks of hair, porcelain white skin and a very slender build completed his figure. He’s two hundred years old now and lives simply by himself. It wasn’t always this way.

When he was fourty-four years old, a new neighbor had quickly inhabited a cave not far from the village. It was an old, banished Drow woman that had remarkable skills in that of ice. She had taken an interest in the village since the elves were open and inviting. They shared what they could with her with the simple hope to let the peace between all forms of elves thrive. They would soon see their error. She was a conniving woman and found Galdor the most striking out of all them. She also could sense that he was the most powerful.

For the better part of a year, she enticed him as much as she was able. Using illusions to cover up her age, she had him smitten rather quickly. Once she got him bound to her, she started to twist his good natured powers to her own ways. He trusted her so much, that he was soon stealing for her. After that, he started to kidnap the abandoned children around the village for her to use for herself. Even as he saw everything, he couldn’t act out. He couldn’t stop himself. She had full control over him. She showed him the ice crystal staff and trained him in its use. In the middle of an intense battle, it will form a scythe at the end made of a thin sheet of deadly ice. Normally, Wood Elves couldn’t use such weapons of darkness, but he learned that he could make the top of the staff a layer of water and charge with positive emotions to use for good. To be used for darker purposes all it had to do was charge off his negative emotions. The staff balanced itself out for him.

For five years, she kept him, used him and trained him. When it came to the destruction of the village, she first had him sing to gather the villagers together. She had taught him how to mesmerize with his voice and force others to do as he pleased. He could even bring about the most intense pain if he sang the right notes. If he had an intstrument, the magic would intensify. Once everyone was gathered, she had him slaughtering everything in sight. From women, children, pets and the men, nothing was spared. He would freeze them and she would break them into pieces if his scythe didn’t do the job right. His own family was soon killed by his own hand and the look in his eyes when he did it was that of absolute outrage and shock. Staring into their frozen eyes was the look of disbelief and bewilderment. Even when she broke them down, the memory still haunts him to this day. When there was nothing left, she glared at him and said that he would help her do this to other towns along the way. That was when something inside him snapped. Without thinking, he had stepped forward and froze her. Then he shattered her figure.

Now, he wanders the land alone and aloof. Being a Wood Elf, the longer he stays in one area, the more the land heals and blooms around him. He forces himself to drift day after day. His once innocent demeanor was completely gone. Nightmares still haunt his dreams and he tries hard not to fall asleep. He still has the ice crystal staff, but it is mainly to help him focus. Rarely does he ever use it for self defense. Maybe in time, he’ll be able to cope with what he did in the past and finally resort back to his friendlier habits and moods. For now, he prefers to live alone and not be bothered by others. The nightmares are now gone since Lady Erianna broke the curse the Drow woman left in his mind on her death. He is playing instruments again and made a new home at etrnlwds@bwr since the siege against Mirkwood is finally over.

His powers include the wielding of the ice crystal staff and the ability to call on the icy death it gives. The scythe is a paper-thin sheet of ice sharp enough to rend the flesh right off the bone. He can also purify the land with it by charging it possitively and using it to make a temporary winter so that his land healing will be more effective. If he needs water, he can create it with the staff.
Being a Wood Elf, the longer he stays in one spot, the more the land flourishes and blooms. He can produce any form of fruit introduced to him as long as it is grown by plants. He currently has no control over this birthright power. He can harvest sugars and proteins from the leaves of plants to make a highly nutritious green honey that can feed one for days at a time. He does know how to commune with the ground once he is fully grounded. This is by him sitting on a patch of earth and letting his senses become one with the ground. Once grounded, he can feel anything that is in the ground and growing out of the ground. His voice is so magical that he can heal with it as well as harm. When he sings, there is a simple, peaceful calmness given and when used with instruments can enhance magic or even embolden people with new hopes. He is sentient around animals, but cannot communicate with them. The power of animal communication may be unlocked in the future.
