David Maverick Born David
Maverick he is one of twins. Their father was English and mother Welsh. David
speaks with an English accent with a slight hint of Welsh, revealing his roots. Having been in Beware only a short time he found his
unit made rouge when Mavin Maverick took control of the Realm. At first he was
happy to accept it until his father was killed while trying to cross the
border. Maverick was furious and made the Wolf Pack into a resistance group.
Eventually he was the one who killed Mavin with the help of V'soul and A Shadow
where none should be. Although she was later brought back to life she retains
little memory of the events that happened. Having found love again with one of his fellow
officers, Major Shadowcat@bwr, who he has now passed on the
silver dagger to, and with the recent birth of their twins, Jason and Jessica, he
remains in Beware with his unit and his brother Steven Maverick and
younger brother Jon Maverick. Although now retired from the Peace Keepers his old
personal guard remain with him as do his former officers, all of them having
now found a home in Beware. His family, friends and other officers

The Administration, a group set up to control telepaths. It was discovered soon
after that David and Steven both had the power of telekinesis, although
Steven's was less powerful.
At the age of 13, David was sent to be trained as a Vampire Slayer but was
later sent to Peace Keeper Officer training. Graduating at the age of 14 he was
assigned to a Marine unit aboard the P.K.S. Tigers Claw. His first commanding
officer saw his potential as a leader and gave him a silver bladed dagger to
show that he was her chosen officer.
Shortly after war with a reptilian race known as "Trankers" broke
out. In the first action the Tiger's Claw was in the ship was destroyed, there
were only two survivors, Lieutenant Maverick and then Commander Andrew Maniac.
Maniac felt he owed David as he had refused to let go of the Commander while
they awaited rescue. The two became good friends.
Reassigned to an infantry unit called the "Wolf Pack" he met First
Lieutenant Danielle "Dannii" Peters. The two fell in love and were
later married. The two years later during a patrol, which included David, now a
Captain, Lieutenant Peters, who was three months pregnant, and Steven, just
assigned to the Wolf Pack, along with several troopers from the unit, a squad
of Trankers ambushed them. During the fighting, two attacked Lt. Peters. As he
rushed to help her, a wounded Tranker flung his crossbow into Maverick's left
knee, causing it to fracture and him to fall to the ground. All David could do
was watch as his wife and child died after Dannii was stabbed through the
heart. It was all the others could do to stop Maverick from killing himself. He
even tried taking on a rogue mage alone but won.
After a further two years of combat, Maverick was second in command of the Wolf
Pack and they were given a special mission. They were to sneak into the enemy
capital city with several large barrels of gunpowder and use them to destroy
the place of government. The plan worked, the government building was destroyed
taking most of the government and Generals with it. During the escape from the
city, Colonel Sanford, Maverick's commanding officer, stayed behind alone to
delay a squad of Tranker soldiers who were hunting them. Maverick was promoted
to full Colonel at 20 and given command of the Wolf Pack before being assigned
to Beware.
