D'ante "The Beast" Argentile, is the son of Destiny and The Demon Argentile. He was the product of rape, and the Thirteenth spawn of the Demon. His purpose for existing was made clear. He was to take over his Father's plain of Hell when the time was right, and rule over all the family.

The Demon had other ideas, however. The Demon denied D'ante's claim, and efforts to destroy his father, moving D'ante to a great deal of frustration. In his frustration, he found a new place for himself. The Barren Stretch, a plain of existance that houses lost souls who were likely bound for Hell, but for whatever reason did not make it there. D'ante took over the place as his own, though the residence of the plain were less than interested in his rule.

The efforts to find his place within the family, and his constant struggle, eventually wore on him. His ideas about reality and life, began to change, and he became a man in transition. He has come to realize he doesn't have all the answers, and power and might are not always the only options.
