Born to royalty in a faraway province, his father a high-ranking noble and proud to have a son, trained him in the art of fighting since his youth. As years passed, he proved his skills time and again until he was knighted on the field of battle by their very king, who's life he saved. After that day, he became known as the "Silver Knight" for his armor was bright as silver, and the emblem of his country proudly emblazoned on both his breastplate and shield. But in the end, it was pride that was his downfall.
In his 21st year, Sir Chance accepted a mission to rid the land of a particular mage. In his pride he swore he could do it or he would gladly be cast out of the country. The mission was rigged however, and Chance failed horribly. He returned to his kingdom with a curse on his head from the mage. The council decreed he be banished, his armor was then taken and blackened to remove the emblems on them and he was cast from the kingdom. The title of "Silver Knight" was stricken from the books and replaced with "Dark Knight."
And so for the last few years, Sir Chance has roamed the lands in search of this mage who did this to him. Along the way he has had many an adventure and word of his deeds have travelled to the ears of many. The name of the Dark Knight has been heard in all manner of tales. His desire still is to redeem his good name and lift or alter this curse on him. What is the curse? How can it be changed? Stay awhile and listen, you just may learn if you should like to.
Weapons
Chance is adept at most normal weapons used by knights. He can use any one hand or two hand slashing weapons with great profficency, but he sticks mainly to his sword and shield. He has been known to use a bow and arrow, but not often. His sword has recently been imbued and now it has the added bonus of lightning damage. The lightning is controlled by Chance's thoughts and can strike objects quite a distance away, likewise he can turn the intensity of it down as well. He was recently given a flintlock pistol from his good friend Devin Katarn and he uses that on occassion, but it is a last resort weapon.
