Though Quickening would spend her time playing a nice hand of poker, but she also continued as a defender of SOE, fighting the forces of evil with a strong hand and a quick dagger. She also carries a short sword, an item of special attatchment to her. The sword once belonged to her father, a man who was not much of a fighter, but honourable in his own way. A matching dagger belonged with the sword, but was lost to Quickening during a mission for the realm. She later recovered the dagger, but with ceratin consequences. The grips of both sword and dagger are Celtic twists with large emeralds in the pommel. The blades are made of the finest steel, and Quickening keeps them in top condition. Quickening also carries an assortment of small daggers, mostly for throwing, though she is far less accurate with them than her skill with the short sword. When in combat, she fights like a berzerker, striking at all who stand against her, with little thought to her own safty. But when the fighting ends, the strain of battle and the occational spot of her own blood usually finds Quickening unconscious.
Quickening is tall, with long, light colored hair. She is usually seen to be wearing forest clothes, green in color, with the cloak full of her throwing daggers. On the left side of her face, is a long white scar, received while defending the realm. She wears it proudly, as a badge, and is more than happy to share the story of how she got it. Other stories of this thief are told less often, as she does not care to share them. But if drunk enough, or if the mood is right, one need only ask, and she will tell all. If you care to join her for a drink or a game she just may be willing, though her heart isn't in it as much these days.
Quickening is also a mother. She has three children, Tobias, Angell, and Darian. Each child has a different father. All three have been scattered to the wind. Tobias went into the world to see his fortune, Angell disappeared following her own path, and Darian was lost when the Q.S.S. LighteningBolt III was sunk. Even Quickening's husband, James Rogue, has gone missing, though he has a talent of showing up now and again.
Together, these events have made Quickening withdrawn and alone. She's given up hope of finding Darian, and of much else.
