Born Artenus Aramaus of a high Noldor house he had the finest tutors in the land, perhaps the finest tutors anywhere. His lust for knowledge went beyond that though and soon he knew more than the teachers. Soon he had to find other ways to learn. Have you ever wondered how much Demons know? Or Angels, they look down and see a lot dont they? He wondered and he took steps to finding out. Of course becoming a demonologist wasn't easy for a high bred noldor, but luckily there was a group called The Reavers. They's actually been watching him and soon enough sent him a tutor. The fact the tutor was a Drow didn't bother Artenus, he was just there to learn. Then Artenus did that thing that most young men seem to when they really should be doing something else. He fell in love, totally. Of course she was a librarian, and she had a hunger to learn. Soon she became his student, even while he was still studying.

It was about that time the war came, three days after their wedding infact. Artenus knew a way to win the war, save the people. It meant a willing sacrifice though. His wife loved her people and gave her soul to summon a lord of hell. Now you'd think this would go down well. Heroics? But the council never believed Artenus, they thought he'd murdered his wife. Asside from anything else, they just didn't like demons. He was cast out, a harsher punishment than death to his people, and left to wander alone. Well not alone, he had The Reavers didn't he? Oh and he's read about a place called The Dreaming he was just dying to find out more about. After nearly a thousend years of research summoned a Demoness, got her to mark him for The Dreaming and set of to explore. It was about this time he realised he wasn't dying. It didn't take him too long to find out why, he was living from the energy from the creatures he summoned. He didn't drain them, he just fed of their presense. Now this is all well and good when theres a Demon around, or a nice handy Angel but it soon become a lot of hard work remembering to summon them before he got too weak. Then he stumbled into Nisaa. A half Elf, half Demon. It was like mixing a catelist with his drugs and he could actually feel the feeding process for the first time. As a person he found her to be standoffish, arogant and antisocial. In other words a good person all around as you should judge others based on yourself. An odd friendship has formed between the too, friendship being an entirely new concept for the Reaver but one he's working on understanding
