Once Upon A Time...

Now rarely will a tale involving this family begin as such, but I assure you it is appropriate this time.  Once upon a time, there was a vampire named Rejoux Protelli.  Known for being one of the more fierce fighters for the side of Light, his talent with a sword was always in conflict for being his finest skill.  His true calling...was the violin.  A passionate musician, he often attracted attention by simply playing.

This, you see, is the way he came to meet Ta'Maudlan Darkshadow.  Mad Maudie.  The Pale Haired Daughter.  The Family's Piper.  Tom Bedlam's favorite playmate.  A child of Pain and Visions.

It was a chance meeting that grew to shape and warp both independently.  Two opposites slowly becoming so deeply entwined that they were nigh inseparable.  It was the Song that bound them and the Song that became their eternal link.

While this spell was woven, a brother...was growing more silent as his sister became reborn.  Furious, Ambrosini desperately fought to find his own bond and hold on his twin was weakening.  He became obsessed with finding a new way to hold her, control her, and keep her from the Eternal Rose.

Ah, but Tom Bedlam has never taken kindly to those who would destroy carefully laid plans and he had something else in store for Ambrosini.  Late one night while the Chemist worked, by chance he added a toxic combination and drank it, hoping that this would drive him to find the madness that possessed his sweet sister.

Instead of madness, he found release.  In his release, his sister found her freedom.  She carefully, secretly hid his body after working with the Bedlam song to bring it in to stasis, holding it forever enshrined to the memory of her cruel other half.  Never was any told...and her bond with Rejoux became undeniable.

Rejoux became, arguably, the most accepted of any outsider and given freedoms that no other could have dreamed.  Perhaps somewhere within the Family knew what would happen.  No one can say for certain.  He was Ta'Maudlan's sworn protector and had proven himself time and time again until one day...he was taken.

You see, this vampire was unique in that he would never harm a human.  It was just this thing that was needed for Gareth to capture him and execute him within the center of the village.  Forced to kneel as he was drained of his blood, the only saving grace was that the Angel of Vengeance had come...and had other plans before allowing his soul to fall into Oblivion.  His soul was taken by the angel and used to reawaken the Angel of Death thus bringing the being once more into the Realm of Beware.  The price was high.  Rejoux now clung to the angel, desperate not to fall.  In a final act of farewell, he found Maudie one last time...and the daughter called him home.

Once dead and forgotten, Ambrosini Darkshadow now lives once more.  The spiral dance has come full circle on itself and now begins a new chapter in the life of both Chemist and Musicmaker.  Ta'Maudlan is now whole once more and her Joy is stronger, more secure than he has ever been within the arms of a one he was sworn to be with from the time she drew breath alongside the twin who is now her most faithful lover and protector.  Ta'Maudlan's other half in every way, and with every reason imaginable to love and protect his family in any way that he is capable of offering.

Ambrosini is a master chemist.  As some are born with an innate knowledge of numbers or language, he simply understands formulas.  His passion comes as a complementary opposite of his Sister/Aunt, Tempest.  Where Tempest heals, he prefers to kill.  His passion lies in watching the reactions of specific combinations of chemicals with the human body.  Ever known to inject then take notes, he is always a very careful study so that he can reproduce and improve on the reactions brought forth.  Now teamed with the vampire's innate ability for controlling the dead, he can hold his subjects within their bodies long after they should have been freed.  It is, all in all, an exciting prospect and one he truly cannot wait to begin once again.
