Mr. Sawbones

Mr Sawbones, an urban legend 'round here. Word from the street says...He was a drifter who fell in love with a noble's daughter. When she came to the village he would shower her with wild flowers from the shop roofs. He would follow her diswading theifs and drunkards from bothering her. But he was still just a drifter... untouchable by those with royal blood. When the her father found out, he sent her brothers to find him and show him his displeasure. The drifter's love for her was such that even after seven such beatings he still dared to shower her with flowers.

But one fateful day she didn't travel alone. Her father walked out of the bakers shop, to the rain of flower pedals and his daughter staring up into the drifter's eyes. Hells fires could not burn as hot as his anger. Grabbing her he dragged her home plotting the drifter's demise... A fortnight later the drifter was dragged from his alley to a meadow where he was drawn and quartered. His limbs thrown down four different alleys as a warning to all the street people, never look opon the nobilities daughter's again.

No one knows how Mr. Sawbones survived, some say it was his love, some say a dark pact with demons for revenge. Either way six months later he came back. The legend says someone or some thing ripped a limb from four of the participating noble fathers that did this to him. They say the thing used noble limbs to make right what those fathers took from Mr. Sawbones. Now a patchwork man he hides himself under his cloak, traveling only at night, never letting anyone catch sight of him.

Ever.
